2002 Charity Partner The Children’s Law Center The mission of the Children’s Law Center is to provide quality legal representation and advocacy for children and their families in legal and administrative proceedings and to promote improvement in those processes and in the delivery of appropriate services. The Children’s Law Center is a private, non-profit corporation founded in 1987 and is the only organization of its kind in the Southeast dedicated exclusively to addressing the legal needs of children. The work of the CLC attorneys is performed in and outside of the courtroom. They work hard resolving the problems of children and families before they ever get to a courtroom. But the CLC attorneys can not do it alone. It takes the combined efforts of nearly 200 trained volunteers to help our community’s children.
