The Mission of the First Tee of Charlotte is to impact the lives of young people in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area who have not previously had exposure to the game of golf and its positive values.
The First Tee of Charlotte will create an affordable and accessible golf and learning center to teach the core values of life found in golf including honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and good judgment.

About the First Tee of Charlotte:
The First Tee of Charlotte with the help from The Golf Village in South Charlotte started programming in 2002. Over 1000 children have participated in the program since the summer of 2002.
The Golf Village in Pineville has been the temporary home of The First Tee of Charlotte. Through a partnership with Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department, The First Tee of Charlotte will find a permanent home on Charlotte's west side. There are two locations that are currently being considered.
