BEADS FOR NEEDS CHOOSES 2005 EVENT CHARITY PARTNER: THE FAMILY CENTER’S “TREETOPS” CAMP CHARLOTTE, N.C., September 24, 2004 - Beads for Needs, a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for underprivileged children in the Charlotte area, has chosen TreeTops, a branch of The Family Center, as its 2005 event beneficiary. The Beads for Needs fundraising event will be held February 3, 2005, from 6-11 p.m. at the Wachovia Atrium, 301 S. Tryon Street. The Mardi Gras-themed event will feature food and beverages from area restaurants, live music, and lots of beads! Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. All proceeds from the event will benefit TreeTops, a camp for at-risk and underprivileged children -- The Family Center’s latest initiative to eliminate child abuse and neglect. Beads for Needs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the intellectual, social and psychological development of underprivileged children in the Charlotte community.
