Beads for Needs Chooses Seigle Avenue Partners
Event to be held February 19, 2004
CHARLOTTE, N.C., January 6, 2004 - Beads for
Needs, a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for underprivileged
children in the Charlotte area, has chosen Seigle Avenue Partners
as its 2004 event beneficiary.
The Beads for Needs fundraising event will be held February 19,
2004, from 6-11 p.m. at the Wachovia Atrium, 301 S. Tryon Street.
The Mardi Gras-themed event will feature food from area restaurants,
beverages, music from Black & Blue, and of course, beads for
all attendees. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Seigle Avenue Partners,
an organization that provides out-of-school time programs for children
in kindergarten through middle school who live in the Belmont /Piedmont
Courts community.

About SEIGLE AVENUE PARTNERS
Seigle Avenue Partners is the latest chapter in a 50-year history
of commitment, caring and outreach by Seigle Avenue Presbyterian
Church to its neighbors in the Belmont and Piedmont Courts community.
The organization offers a comprehensive Out of School Time (OST)
program for neighborhood children who range in age from kindergarten
through eighth grade. The program is housed in the Hope Building,
on the corner of 10th Street and Seigle Avenue.
About BEADS FOR NEEDS
Beads for Needs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the intellectual,
social and psychological development of underprivileged children
in the Charlotte community. The organization raises funds and awareness
for local nonprofits through a yearly Mardi Gras themed event for
young professionals. Since 2002, Beads for Needs events have raised
more than $36,000 for local children's charities.
